Detail of Brandenburg Gate and the Quadriga bronze statue. In german it is called Brandenburger Tor and it's one of the few monuments that survived in the defeated capital town of Berlin after second world war. King Frederick William II of Prussia commissioned the Gate and Carl Gotthard Langhans built it from 1788 to 1791.
