PAKISTAN, Peshawar: Transgender individuals from 14 different Pakistani districts represented their communities in a multi-stakeholder consultation on September 17, 2015 in Peshawar. The consultation addressed the transgender community's need for protection and equal rights. Issues such as displacement, sex work, harassment were addressed. The consultation put forward recommendations to the government on how to increase the legal protections of transgender individuals.
