Statue of St. Onufrius from the 17th century is in the Zlonice city. This statue was created by an unknown author. Statue very terrified the citizens and therefore was removed and thrown into the local pond. In 1860, while cleaning the pond, statue was again found and placed behind the city that was not as visible. Zlonice city, Czech republic. Saint Onufrius Great lived in the late 4th century AD in one of the monasteries near Thebes, renowned place of magic, astrology, and alchemy. After some time he went to the Egyptian desert, where he spent 60 years in strict asceticism as a hermit. There he overgrown hair and beard, which used it as a dress. To the Europe brought his relics the Templars.
