Pavia,Italy, 25 october 2015.Pavia Cathedral is an important Renaissance building and has a great octagonal dome, among the largest in Italy for width and height. The beginning of work of the cathedral dates from the fifteenth century although the construction lasted long into the twentieth century.The original project was influenced by Bramante, some details of it later appearing in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Also Leonardo da Vinci is known to have contributed to the project.
