MACEDONIA, Skopje: As demonstrations continue in Skopje, Macedonia on April 18, 2016, the Ministry of Culture building is splattered with paint thrown by angry protesters, who also used police officers as targets. Demonstrations began nearly one week ago, as protesters denounced the President Gjorge Ivanov's decision to halt probes into more than 50 public figures involved in a wiretapping scandal. Meanwhile, snap elections have been called for June 5.
