Karina Kraushaar at the EDGAR AWARD 2007The EDGAR AWARD,Europe's largest audience award for advertising, was founded in 1991 by the TV and media magazine TV SPIELFILM. The EDGAR AWARD is the slightly different competition for advertising. There are no conditions of participation and no professionally staffed juries, but what counts is only the voice of the readers. Since the beginning of 2006,in addition to the TV SPIELFILM readers, the readers of TV SPIELFILM XXL and TV TODAY also choose the most popular ads and TV commercials online every 14 days online. This competition shows which ideas and concepts are at the top of the list in the favour of active, young opinion-formers. The 8.39 million readers* of the United TV community, consisting of the titles TV SPIELFILM,TV SPIELFILM XXL and TV TODAY,represent a target group with particularly strong interests in all topics related to communication and advertising. Nearly half a million readers took part in the 2007 EDGAR AWARD vote, with a total of 480,000 votes cast.
