Belinda Pfitzmann and Stephanie Kindermann of PETA. Bloody human mannequins with fur clothes and boycott posters will make for a look at Burberry, one of the last ever fur-selling designer chains,on Wednesday. The campaign is the latest in a series of PETA's international anti-fur campaigns and Hamburg's fifth stop in the campaign against Burberry, one of the last international fashion chains still running fur trimmings. PETA activists had already occupied the showcases of Prada,Dolce & Gabbana and Gaultier and stormed the catwalks at fashion shows by fur designers Karl Lagerfeld,Versace,Oscar de la Renta,Christian Dior,Roberto Cavalli,Gaultier and Prada, among others. Actions against Burberry have already taken place in Germany in the cities of Frankfurt,Munich,Berlin and Düsseldorf. Fur production has been banned in Austria,Switzerland,England,Scotland and Wales for many years. In Germany, too, the Federal Council has recently decided on improvements in attitudes that are close to a ban in its implementation. Many fashion houses, including P&C,Galeria Kaufhof,Karstadt/Quelle,C&A,Kookai and Adler, have stopped selling fur, according to Belinda Pfitzmann of PETA.
