Alexander Garbe presents the winners of the Stilwerk Award at The Hamburg - Altona Pressetext:Stilwerk Award for the best young designer 2007on May 22,2007 stilwerk awards the stilwerk Award for the best young designer 2007 for the first time. For the first time in its more than 10-year history,stilwerk is short of a design competition that is aimed exclusively at young talents. The task: Development of a 3D design object for the areas kitchen,bathroom,bedroom,hallway,children's room or living room. Not only the aesthetic requirements are to be fulfilled,the jury expects above all functional designs: True values for the habitat is the motto,which explicitly implies ecological production criteria and excludes disposable products. Participants of the competition were students of the Hamburg universities from the 3rd semester onwards,who focused on the areas of product design,communication design,art pedagogy and technical teaching. From 23 to 31 May 2007,all submitted works were presented in the foyer of the stilwerk Hamburg.
