Bloody human mannequins with fur clothing and boycott posters will make burberry, one of the very last designer chains still selling fur trim, look on Wednesday. The action is the latest blow in the series of PETA's international anti-fur campaigns and Hamburg is the fifth stop of the campaign against Burberry, one of the last international fashion chains still carrying fur coats. PETA activists had already occupied the shop windows of Prada,Dolce & Gabbana and Gaultier and stormed the catwalks at fashion shows of fur designers Karl Lagerfeld,Versace,Oscar de la Renta,Christian Dior,Roberto Cavalli,Gaultier and Prada, among others. Actions against Burberry have already taken place in Germany in the cities of Frankfurt,Munich,Berlin and Düsseldorf. In Austria,Switzerland,England,Scotland and Wales, fur production has been banned for many years. In Germany, too, the Federal Council has recently decided on improvements to attitudes that come close to a ban in implementation. Many fashion houses, including P&C,Galeria Kaufhof,Karstadt/Quelle,C&A,Kookai and Adler, have stopped selling fur, according to Peta's Belinda Pfitzmann.
