Cabot Head Lighthouse is located on the most northeastern tip of the Bruce Peninsula, perched 24 meters above Georgian Bay. The Lighthouse has guided ships since 1896. Named of the honour of explorer John Cabot, the original tower was demolished in 1968 and replaced with automated light.. Since 1990, the friends of Cabot Head have restored the lightstation as a museum.
