South Georgia Landscape Idyll in Jason Harbour _ Lagoon Point, Jason Harbour - A sheltered anchorage named after C.A. Larsen's whaling boat Jason, which stopped in the bay in April 1894. It is worth a visit for its diverse wildlife alone: king penguins and nesting skuas can be seen alongside fur seals and elephant seals. There is also a shelter in the bay, which was built in 1911 and was mainly used to send mail between whaling stations.
