The castle of Montebello (Mons Belli) was a defensive position in the Val Marecchia. It has feudal origins and had important owners from the Malatesta Family to the counts Guidi di Bagno who received this stronghold from Pope Pius II. Very famous is the legend of a little girl named Azzurrina who died in misterious circumstances and it's said that her ghost lives in the castle.
