A skier, high on a ridge in the Swiss Jura mountains in winter, takes a break from skiing and gazes across to the French Alps. The jagged row of peaks to the left of her head are the Dents du Midi. In the valley below a line of mist can be seen, caused by an atmospheric inversion layer.
